Get a Goldfish Now
Goldfish make very good pets. They are easy to take care of and don’t require a lot of work or care. For people who don’t have a lot of time to care for a pet, goldfish are good options. As long as you feed them once a day, and clean their bowl, that is all you need to do. They don’t need to be walked or anything- they are the perfect pet for people without a lot of time.
Goldfish are pretty cheap pets. They start at only a few dollars for the small common goldfish. Some of the bigger species of goldfish, like Koi, can be very expensive. However, for the common person, who is just looking to keep a fish in a small tank, you can buy these fish in any pet store. You only need to take them out in a small bag of water too which is also very convenient.
Veterinarian bills for four legged pets can often be very high. They need a lot of shots, medicines, special food, and can get sick often. Fortunately, goldfish never need to see a veterinarian so you won’t have to spend all that money on a vet. This makes these fish very economical and cheap when compared to other household pets.
Goldfish are easy to care for too. They don’t need constant care or attention like other animals. They simply need to be feed once a day the proper fish food. Every few weeks their tank should be cleaned so that bacteria does not build up from the fish’s waste. When you do this just put them in another container of luke warm tap water. Other than that, that is all the care a goldfish needs.
Goldfish are very easy to take care of and when they die, you can simply flush them down the toilet. While this may seem cruel, with other animals you have a lot more expensive funeral arrangements that need to be met. This again makes goldfish a great pet for those without a lot of time or money to take care of an animal but want the joy of being able to take care of one.
Goldfish are easy pets and simply require their bowls to be cleaned every few weeks, which is much simpler than a dog or cat. These fish are perfect for those with little time on their hands and should be considered by all people. They make for a pretty and soothing addition to any home. Consider getting a fish for your kids so they can have something to take care of.

Success In Betta Breeding Will Get You Good Profit
It can prove very profitable to go into Betta breeding. If you arm yourself with the right skills and knowhow then you are ready. Knowing good Betta fish care will prevent you from making mistakes and in return you will have healthy spawns out of the process. I have gone through this process many times so I wanted to share some tips with you to get you going.
1. Learning and knowing these points by heart will guarantee you more success.
2. First things first, are your Betta’s 5 months old? If not then wait until they are. You also have to make sure that they have adjusted to the climate of the tanks perfectly (yes, two tanks, male in one and the female in the other tank). Remember, if you do not want to loose money and waste time then learn proper Betta fish care.
3. I you are ready then get the two tanks close to one another. The female should be in one and the male in the other. Don’t forget these are fighting fish and will act accordingly. You are keeping them in separate tanks but close for them to get comfortable with one another before meeting for breeding.
4. At some point the male will make a bubble nest at the top of the tank and this is a sign that he’s ‘ready’. The female will sometimes also give a sign in the form of colorful stripes developing.
5. Put them together and the female will soon release her eggs, ranging from hundreds up to thousand. She will then hide, the male will take over as he is now the main caretaker of the young. This is the time when you remove the female from the tank. If not, you risk an attack from the male.
6. When the eggs are hatched and you can see the young fish swimming you should remove the male. He will eat the young if he is kept in the same tank.
7. This process should take about 2 weeks. During that time you should not change the water in the tank. Due to that you should be careful how much food you are giving the fish as overfeeding may lead to cloudy water.
8. After these two weeks, when you start replacing the water again you should also begin to separate the fish into other tanks. Now you are ready to sell them for a healthy profit!
By reading these tips I hope you gain some knowledge and confidence to dive into the world of Betta breeding.

The goldfish is maybe the most common fish all over the globe. They can be found in Asia, Central Asia and China. In many countries people set up a fish tank just for this amazing species. There are many fancy variants including the veiltail, the Red oranda Goldfish, ryukin, Lionhead, Black Moor and much more. They also come in many shapes and forms.
The Pearlscale Goldfish foe example is one of the most popular goldfish species in Asia. Pearlscale Goldfish has an egg-shaped body. The main characteristic of the pearlscale is its thick arched scales which look like small pearls. It also found in many colors, blue, black, red, calico and even white red combinations. It can reach to a size of 8 inches (20cm) and like its entire group he is an omnivore. The Pearlscale Goldfish will accept flake and pellet foods, it is also recommended to include some vegetable matter and live or frozen foods. It is highly recommended to feed them with goldfish flakes and goldfish pellets.
The Pearlscale Goldfish is very adaptable species that tolerates a wide range of water conditions. Like the entire goldfish group this species will thrive in coldwater aquariums and tolerate a wide range of temperatures from 2c to 30c. Goldfish have the same diseases as tropical fish, the most common diseases are: ich, bladder disease and external parasites including flukes so pay attention to your fish and look for this diseases .To prevent these diseases from happening keep the right temp especially when you perform water changes and make sure to have suitable filtration system. Pearlscale Goldfish are easy to breed, this species breed in the early morning. The female will scatter her eggs on the plants, rocks or the substrate; afterwards the male will fertilize these eggs. The fry hatch after 3-5 days and need to be feed with small foods such as cyclops or fry foods. It is recommended to remove parents once the eggs are layed, or the eggs will be eaten.
Another common goldfish species is the Black Moor. The Black Moor Goldfish is an astonishing member of the Cyprinidae family,it is the black variety of the well known Telescope Goldfish. The main difference between the black moor and the telescope goldfish are the eyes. The black moor eyes are less protruding than the Telescope goldfish. Like all goldfish the black moor is a member of the carp group and is generally a quite hardy species. Black Moor Goldfish are suitable for indoor aquariums, and not to all kinds of outdoor goldfish ponds. Like all goldfish they can tolerate very cold water temperatures so they are ideal for ponds that dont freeze in winter.
The Black Moor Goldfish will prosper in a 25 gallon or larger tanks with a fine gravel or sand bottom and hardy plants, it is known as plant eater so it is recommended to use only hardy plants such as Echinodorus species, Microsorium and Anubias species. When we decorate its tank we should think of its sensitive and delicate eyes and protect them from sharp decoration. The Black Moor gets along with other fish in a coldwater community fish tank and if kept with other goldfish it will school with them. It is also easy to breed. Males are usually thinner then females. They may exhibit breeding spots on their heads and flanks during the spawning season. Gradually increase the temperature to 72 degrees F. Provide soft vegetation or a spawning mops, and excellent water quality. Recommended to remove parents once the eggs are layed, otherwise they will eat their own eggs. A mature pair may produce over 1,000 eggs which will hatch after 3-5 days. The fry are easy to feed on small live foods or on liquid fry foods available in any pet store.
The Ranchu goldfish is maybe the most expensive goldfish species. It is known as the “King” of the goldfish. The Ranchu Goldfish is very similar to the Lionhead Goldfish but unlike the Lionhead it has a magnificent short, round body and short fins with no dorsal fin. It also has an amazing pinched tail fin which is at 45 degrees, to its body. The Ranchu was created in china during the Meiji Period but it was the Japanese whom created the Ranchu’s we know today. Ranchus known to be very friendly species and some fish keepers are able to pet their Ranchus and even to train them to do some tricks. The Ranchu Goldfish come in a variety of colors, gold/white, orange/red, orange/white, white/red and a calico. Ranchu is a highly prized and sought after goldfish especially in Japan but also in America and Europe.
The Ranchu Goldfish is suitable for ponds more then to fish tanks but if you provide him enough space it can be kept in aquarium. The Ranchu is best kept with other goldfish or large coldwater species due to the fact that it is coldwater fish so do not mix it with tropical fish as it requires a less temperature than tropical fish. Ranchu Goldfish are notoriously filthy, producing much waste, frequent water changes and good filtration system is essential. Unfortunately little is known about its breeding behavior.

Why I Buy My Filters Online
As the owner of a large aquarium I was tired of paying the high costs of replacing my aquarium filter. I continued to purchase my aquarium supplies from the original pet store where I bought the tank. I was astonished by how expensive these replacement fish tank filters were. I had no idea that there were other places where I could buy the supplies and replacement equipment for my tank.
The employees at my pet store told me that they were the only place where I could buy the replacement fish tank filters that I needed. Obviously they didn’t tell me that I could find the same replacement parts online because they knew that they would be much cheaper. In fact, some retailers sold them for half the price I was paying.
One of my friends told me that the best place to locate a cheap aquarium filter was online. She told me that I would be shocked by the number of online retailers that carried the same brands and styles that I needed for my aquarium. With the wide selection that was available I could easily comparison shop.
I quickly found out that the internet was highly competitive and that there were a ton of great deals available. My friend instructed me to make sure that I purchased my fish tank filters from a legitimate business. She warned me against bidding on internet auctions because they may not be reliable dealers. I knew that I needed to thoroughly look through the website before I ordered. It was easy to spot potentially fraudulent businesses from serious established retailers.
A replacement aquarium filter is not the only item that you can find on the internet. As a fish enthusiast there are a number of other items that you have to purchase to support your hobby.
You can find aquarium lighting, replacement bulbs, and many other aquarium essentials on-line. The prices of the items will be significantly lower than your local retailers and there will be a much greater selection of items.
I noticed that the internet retailers were able to carry a much larger selection of items yet I was still able to find the brand names that I relied upon.
Before paying full price at your local retailer for another aquarium filter or replacement bulb, check online first to see if you can find a better deal. You might be pleasantly surprised and save yourself a lot of money. Money you can spend on more exciting things like fish and corals.

What To Do And Not To Do With Your Koi Pond
First, you must understand that Koi ponds are not just simply holes in the ground that you can keep fish in. For a Koi pond to work properly, and actually sustain fish, a number of different things must be considered when you begin planning it. A few simple rules will ensure that you do not end up with an expensive hole with dead fish.
First, unless you have a large amount of knowledge in outdoor landscaping, fish keeping, and construction, it may be a good idea to leave the pond building up to a professional. While some people think that building the pond yourself with save you money, this could not be further from the case. If your pond is not build properly the first time, you will end up spending a large amount of money on fixing the problems that come up. Not only that, if your pond is not properly setup, you may not even be able to keep fish alive.
Remember when you hire a professional, it is their job to give you what you want. They can give their knowledge when it comes to decision making, but ultimately, they will do whatever you want them too. Because of this, you cannot blame them if your pond fails do to location, size, or other factors. However, beware of extremely cheap quotes as they may cut corners that could potentially cause you problems later. While quotes will come in different, there should not be a very dramatic difference between them.
Koi pools, are in no way, swimming pools or animal water troughs. This is the rationale why so much care must be taken in planning and building your pool. It may cost more money then building a usual pool, but the rewards are much greater. Be certain to keep all kids and other none fish pets out of the pool, as they may cause issues. If your children swim in your pool, not only could they trigger a chemical imbalance, but they could also cause major issues like leaks. Whilst it is generally ok to have other pets around your Koi pool, some pets may get it that is fun to mess with your filtration system or chase your Koi around.
Remember, the majority of Koi ponds are permanent once they are built. This means that you cannot decide in two or three weeks that you do not want you Koi pond in the front yard, that you would rather have it in the backyard. Carefully plan each and every aspect of your pond, because once it is built, there is little you can do to change it. Remember such things as size requirements, and placement.
Eventually , remember that maintaining a Koi pool could be a large amount of work. Ensure that you can have sufficient time to execute the common-or-garden required upkeep, and remember that, like with any other pets, issues will arise that need very special attention.
Vet visits may be needed, or you may need to take some extra time out of your weekend to clear up an algae infection. Have a plan, and make sure that if you are going to be going away, make sure someone with enough knowledge to properly maintain you pond is available until you return.
